Consignment Information and Conditions

Items Placed for Sale

Items must be no more than 2 seasons previous, good quality, in excellent condition, cleaned and preferably pressed.
If items are considered by the Boutique to require cleaning, pressing and/or repairs, then a $2.00 fee will be the responsibility of the owner and will be deducted from Commission once the item/s are sold. 
Items which are accepted with faults which pass unnoticed at the time of placement may be returned to the owner.
Items unsold will not be accepted for a second season.
All items placed for sale will be listed on a consignment invoice and given to the owner.

Placement Period

Clothing placed on Consignment are strictly valid for 3 months from date of drop off.
Summer clothes accepted from September each year. Winter clothes accepted from March each year.
Clothes placed with the Boutique must be collected at the end of the 3 month period, otherwise Retail Therapy has the right to donate the unsold clothes to charity, without prior notice to the owner.

Pricing of Items and Payment

Items are priced by the Boutique. Consignees receive 50% of the sale price once the item has sold.
Sales with a total of $100 or less will be paid in cash. Sales with a total over $100 will be paid by cheque.
All items will be included in any seasonal sales that the Boutique may have or will be moved to the Bargain Rack for final sale at a reduced price.
Please check your stock status on a regular basis, as we do not notify you on sale or collection of consigned goods.
This can be done by telephone, email or calling into the shop personally (once a month is a good idea). Please have your Consignment docket number on hand to quote.

Responsibility

Every care and security will be taken to ensure the safety of items from theft or mishap.

However, Retail Therapy does not accept responsibility for items placed with the Boutique. By placing your clothes for sale with Retail Therapy you accept ultimate responsibility of your items. If unsold clothes and any monies owing have NOT been collected after 2 months after the expiry date, Retail Therapy is not obligated to store items and/or pay out any monies owing unless you advise the Boutique of your collection date in the interim.
